Warwick Schools Foundation is a large educational charity and the overarching body responsible for five schools – Warwick Preparatory School, King’s High School, Warwick Junior School, Warwick Senior School and The Kingsley School.
The schools are individual but benefit from the strength and support of the Foundation. This enables our schools to be best resourced to provide an exemplary environment in which to educate our pupils for the future. We aim to develop responsible, resilient, and compassionate individuals, equipped to succeed and bring about positive change in an evolving world.
Our schools are located on two sites.
The 55-acre Warwick Campus in Warwick is home to some 2,600 pupils:
Warwick School comprises Warwick Junior School (boys 7-11) and the senior school (boys 11-18), operating as a through-school. Warwick Preparatory School and the King’s High School operate as a through-school from ages 3-18. Warwick Prep comprises a co-educational Nursery and Pre-Prep ages 3-7, and, with King’s High, is then single-sex girls from 7-18.
This is a unique model of education in the Midlands, offering ‘the best of both worlds’ for our pupils; teaching specifically tailored to their needs with extensive learning opportunities to collaborate outside the classroom. The town of Royal Leamington Spa is home to The Kingsley School. Founded in 1884, Kingsley is a school community of around 300 children from 5-18.
In addition to our schools, the Foundation also sponsors the WSF Multi-Academy Trust, a MAT of schools in and around Warwick and Leamington Spa. Currently, our MAT incorporates Westgate Primary, Evergreen School and Clapham Terrace Primary.
In September 2026, we will be proud to open Kingsley Explorers, a year-round day nursery for children from 6 months to 5-years-old.

The Foundation is an active membership of the following associations: AGBIS, GSA, HMC, IAPS, ISA, ISBA and the Choir School Association.
Warwick Independent Schools Foundation is a Registered Charity. It exists to provide quality education for children aged 3 to 18.

Organisational Structure
The Foundation Principal acts as CEO of the charity with direct accountability to the Board for the Foundation and all its activities. The Foundation Principal is Mr Richard Nicholson, who was previously the Head Master of King’s High School.
In September 2025, the WSF Multi-Academy Trust was launched – a Trust which is sponsored by the Foundation.
The overriding aim of the WSF MAT is to support excellence in educational provision in the local and surrounding area, drawing on the best of all the schools and sharing practice to ensure that the life of every pupil is enhanced. The WSF MAT also provides the opportunity to support groups of pupils in a more meaningful way, which we would not otherwise be able to do.
