Kingsley Explorers – our admissions process
We aim to make every aspect of nursery life as smooth and reassuring as possible for families, with clear information and supportive processes in place.

Once you have decided that Kingsley Explorers is the right setting for your child, we aim to make admissions as easy as possible. Simply complete our registration form, pay the £50 registration fee (not applicable if you are ONLY using government-funded hours) and let us know what sessions you would like to book.
If we have a space, we will make you an offer, and you will then need to sign the acceptance paperwork, usually within two weeks of the date of the offer. After that, we will be in touch to explain what settling in looks like and how we will get to know your family.
Please note that at present, we are making offers for places up to and including January 2027. If you are interested in a place after January 2027, please complete the form and we will place you on our waiting list. As places become available, we will contact parents on a first-come, first-served basis, to offer places.
Transitions & Continuity
Our settling-in process is carefully planned to help children feel comfortable, secure and confident from the very beginning. We would usually arrange three settling-in sessions, with each one designed to help you and your child become more excited about joining us. We will also invite you to our nursery information system, Famly, where you will be able to see updates and important information once your child begins nursery. As children grow, we provide strong support for transitions to school or the next stage of their journey.
Wraparound Care
We offer wraparound care from 7.30am-6pm, supporting busy family life with a consistent and reliable daily structure.
Meals, Allergies and Dietary Requirements and Sleeping Arrangements
Our meals and snacks are prepared by our Head Chef using fresh ingredients, designed to be both nutritious and balanced, supporting children’s growth, development and energy levels throughout the day.
Allergies and dietary requirements are carefully managed, working closely with families to meet individual needs. Sleep and rest arrangements are tailored to each child, respecting established routines. We also provide clear guidance on what families need to bring, helping everyone feel well prepared.
