  • Science Technician - King's High School

    King's High School is seeking to appoint an outstanding and innovative Science Technician.

    The role is full-time (Term time only), working 38.75 hours per week Term-time only, plus 1 week in the holidays. For the right candidate, the hours of working could be flexible, and we could consider part-time if we could arrange a job share.

    The successful candidate will have excellent communication and people skills, a positive mindset, and a forward-thinking approach to supporting Science education in a busy and well-resourced school Science Department. They will join an experienced and supportive team of 4 other full and part time technicians who work collaboratively to deliver a large amount of curricular and co-curricular practical science from year 7 to Sixth Form. There is an opportunity to contribute to resource development and training for specialist technician tasks may be available.

    The successful candidate will be able to work to deadlines,  multi-task effectively and work flexibly within a team. They will need an excellent awareness of the health and safety regulations.

    Responsible to: The Lead Science Technician and the Head of Science.

    Working hours : The role is 38.75 hours per week, and 36.4 weeks per year, which is term-time only plus inset days plus one week in the holidays.
    Salary : Foundation payscale point 16 (FTE : £23,800 pa) to point 19 (FTE : £25,249 pa) which is equivalent to actual salary  £20,435  to £21,679 per annum respectively. A cost of living rise to be confirmed for September 2025.

  • Student Support and Wellbeing Lead - The Kingsley School

    We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and innovative Student Support and Wellbeing Lead to join a vibrant and ambitious department in a thriving school.

    The successful candidate will have excellent communication and people skills, a positive mindset, and a forward-thinking approach to this exciting new position. Also, they will have empathy and understanding and be able to provide outstanding pastoral care that reduces barriers to learning and supports happy, confident and resilient students.

    Hours of work : Monday to Friday working from 8.30am to 4.15pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch each day. This role is a term time only plus INSET days. 

    Pay Banding : point 24 to 27, actual salary range from £22,484 per annum to £24,732 per annum.

    Location : Leamington Campus

    Start Date : September 2025

    The post holder will report to the Deputy Head (Wellbeing and Pastoral Care) and Assistant Head (Support and Safeguarding).

  • Wellbeing and Mental Health Lead (Full or Part-Time) - King's High School

    King's High School are seeking to appoint a Wellbeing and Mental Health Lead to lead and deliver high quality, accessible, and inclusive wellbeing and mental health support for students and staff.  The role involves early identification, intervention, and strategic development of a whole-school approach to mental health.

    The pastoral team comprises:

    • School Nurse, who is a qualified medical professional, first and foremost caring for pupil suffering from ill health or injury
    • Wellbeing and Mental Health Lead, who assesses and support the emotional needs of the students and offers wellbeing support to staff
    • Wellbeing Mentor, who provides a drop-in listening and support service for students
    • Head of Learning Support, an experienced SENCO
    • Pastoral and Attendance Manager who provides administrative support
    • Deputy Head (Pastoral), who is the Designated Safeguarding Lead, spearheads the provision of pastoral care in school and oversees the pastoral work, including that of:

    • Heads of Key Stage (Head of Sixth Form, Head of Key Stage 4 and Head of Key Stage 3)
    • Heads of Year
    • Form Staff

    The Heads of Key Stage are responsible for the academic and pastoral welfare of their students, so a holistic approach is taken in our pastoral care.

    The successful applicant will confidently assess the initial medical and welfare needs of students and staff.  Where appropriate, they will make referrals to the School Nurse, other members of the pastoral team or external specialists for ongoing care.

    The role can be full or part-time for the right candidate and is term-time only (35.4 weeks of the year including inset days).

    Salary 

    The salary scale for this role is P28 – P30 depending on experience. The FTE salary for P28 is £32,621 and P30 is £34,540 per annum. This is a term-time-only position and the actual salary  (full-time, term-time only) equates to £26,009 and P30 £27,539 per annum. The salary will be prorated for part-time successful applicants.
