CV34 Award Programme
Supporting talented local children to reach their full potential
The CV34 Award Programme is means-tested financial assistance for families in Warwick with a CV34 postcode. We will cover up to 100% of fees plus associated schooling costs depending on financial eligibility and your child meeting the entry requirements to the school of their choice at Year 3, Year 7 or Year 12 .
At Warwick Schools Foundation, our vision is to support as many young people as possible to reach their full potential and encourage lifelong learning regardless of background. One of the ways we are doing this is by broadening access for talented local children to an independent school education. As part of the town of Warwick, we strive to have a meaningful impact on the local area and reflect the communities we serve.
What is the CV34 Award Programme?
Warwick Schools Foundation, benefits from a scheme offering the possibility of free or discounted places based on financial need for candidates at Year 3, Year 7 or Year 12 +. Within the bursaries available from the Foundation is the CV34 Award. These funds are specifically earmarked for children whose families live within the CV34 postcode and we are grateful to King Henry VIII Endowed Trust and The Charity of Sir Thomas White, Warwick for their financial support.
The support available is based on a combination of the following:
- Financial need - determined by a means testing assessment
- Your child's performance - based on exam results, the interview and the report received from your child's current school
- Overall demand - bursaries are awarded on a competitive basis, as limited funds are available.
Pupils awarded a CV34 Award may also be entitled to additional financial support for educational visits, uniforms, transport and lunches.
Over 17% of pupils across the Foundation are recipients of some financial assistance and we are proud of the creativity, diversity and ambition within our community.
Am I eligible to apply?
The amount of support offered is on a sliding scale. You could be eligible if your total gross household income does not exceed £100,000. You are likely to be successful with your application if:
Savings
Your family does not have considerable capital savings, investments or equity.
Other Indicators of Wealth
You do not have indicators of wealth such as new and luxury cars, owning second homes or considerable property in the form of land.
Household Living Arrangements
In the instance where you are separated from your partner, both of your incomes do not exceed the gross household sum of £100,000.
Where there are special circumstances, for instance a 'No Contact Order', we can offer additional support with your application, so please do get in touch.
Wider Family Support
Other wider family members, un-related adults or outside sources do not contribute to household costs, which would otherwise be used as a priority for school fees.
Other School Fees
You are not already paying full fees for another child elsewhere.
Please note, there is a competitive element to bursary grant, and your child’s results in the entrance examination, interview, and report will be taken into consideration alongside means testing and the overall demand.

Hear from our Heads
The expansion of the CV34 Award Programme to include pupils joining us in Year 3 is a fantastic opportunity for our young pupils, who will now be able to join us at Warwick Preparatory School in what is a truly special environment. The bursary programme allows us to offer increased support to young pupils in the local area; nurturing their academic and personal growth and preparing them for an ever-changing future.
I look forward to welcoming bursary recipients into our school from September 2025, and it will be a privilege to see them flourish on their journey with us.
Hellen Dodsworth
Headmistress, Warwick Preparatory School

I am delighted that the CV34 Award Programme is now open to boys joining us in Year 3 from September 2025.
Each bursary place with us at Warwick Junior School increases accessibility to an educational environment that nurtures individual growth and allows each pupil to shine as they progress through the Foundation. I have seen the way in which bursary recipients have flourished at other Foundation schools thus far, and I look forward to welcoming talented local pupils into our school through the CV34 Award Programme.

Our aspiration for all our students is that they become the very best version of themselves. Our bursaries can enable the raw talent and potential in a young person to take off as they aspire to new heights. It is a privilege to see such bursaries having a direct impact on our community today, and exciting to know that future lives will be benefited as a result.

Each bursary has a huge impact in enabling students to access an exceptional education that results in remarkable growth, development and progress. Our bursary students thrive under the careful guidance and support of our expert staff and relish the opportunities available here. For me, as Head, it is very special to see the impact a bursary has and to see our pupils flourish.

Bursaries have the power to change lives by helping young people to thrive in the world and equipping them with the education, skills and character to have a positive impact on society. Recent recipients have become leaders of our pupil body, won places at prestigious universities and gone on to exciting careers, both traditional and dynamic.
