Empowerment Through Sport
We are passionate about the collaborative power of sport, and we are proud to offer our state-of-the-art facilities not only to our pupils, but for children across the local community. Enabling access to these facilities to the wider community is something we strongly believe in, as we look to empower all young people to pursue their hobbies, develop their sporting talent, and have fun as they collaborate with similarly-minded peers in the best possible environment.
Kick 25
Our Kick 25 scheme has been running for eight years, and supports selected Year 6 children from local CV34 schools to achieve their 25-metre swimming certificate, and helps to build the theiir overall water confidence.
The latest scheme ran before the May 2025 half-term holidays, and was a fantastic success with 40 children attending from four local CV34 primary schools. We are proud to put on the programme each year, and we love to hear positive testimonials from schools, children, and parents.
Matthew Watson, Head Teacher Westgate Primary School:
“Kick 25 is a wonderful scheme. Thank you to the WSF staff who run this for us. The children loved every minute of it and were extremely proud of themselves."
England Futsal Lions camp
Since Easter 2025, we have partnered with England Futsal as they brought their first-ever Kids National Teams Camp to King’s High School. As part of this, we proudly partnered with England Futsal and Nike to offer fully-funded places to pupils in the CV34 postcode.
The camps are open to boys and girls from ages 4-14, regardless of prior futsal experience, and provide them with the chance to access elite coaching in a fun and engaging environment. The session focus on developing real skills such as technical training, teamwork activities, and game-based learning.
Through this support, our aim is to give young people - who may not ordinarily be able to do so – the chance to get the ‘full three lions experience’.
The camps so far have been a huge success; they were an empowering, confidence-building experience that made the children feel like part of something bigger, and we are delighted to support local children to access this opportunity.

Sports Play Days
Our Sports Play Days enable children in our community who may not have access to professional facilities to enhance their PE and extracurricular experience by utilising the Foundation's facilities.
These events also enable children with competition-level aspirations to compete with similarly abled peers and further their skillset, while outreach to Physical Education teaching provides professional development opportunities for teachers and promotes the sharing of best practise across the Warwickshire education sector.
Sports Festivals
Warwick School has proudly hosted a series of hockey festivals, inviting over 200 year 5’s and 6’s from local schools across Warwickshire and Leamington. During these festivals, children are invited to a non-competitive day of workshops led by specialist coaches where they are empowered to develop their hockey skills and engage in a series of mini-play-offs against each other and Foundation students.
Warwick School also host rugby tournaments, giving local clubs a space to compete in friendly tournaments against each other in pre-season.
Sports Outreach
In addition to supporting the pursuit of sport through the use of our grounds, we have been able to deliver sports sessions to CV34 primary schools through the appointment of a Sports Outreach Officer - Mr Thorne - who attends three local schools per week and leads a variety of PE sessions to multiple year groups in each school.
The support provided to the children is tailored to each school's need and sporting ability - this ensures that each lesson is delivered in a way that will benefit the maximum number of pupils, and enables these children to receive maximum benefit from the sessions depending on their current ability.
