Come and Play Day

On Sunday, Warwick Schools Foundation was excited to welcome more than 50 young, aspiring musicians from primary schools in CV34 to Warwick Hall for a 'Come and Play Day'.

The annual event, delivered in partnership with the Orchestra of the Swan, has become a highlight for young instrumentalists across the region. It provided the opportunity for young players, many of them beginners who had only recently started learning their instruments, to come together for a day of music-making.

The students had the opportunity to work with professional conductor Leo Jaffrey, develop their skills alongside professional musicians from the Orchestra of the Swan, and experience the thrill of performing orchestral music with a concert for parents and guardians.

Music excellence is rooted in each of our Foundation schools and our passion for facilitating transformational music opportunities for pupils naturally extends to the local community. The Come and Play Day is part of our groundbreaking partnership with the Swan, which enables young people across Warwickshire to access both the outstanding musical facilities at the Foundation but also the talent and passion of the Swan’s musicians.

We hope the event will help inspire the next generation of musicians. View a video from the event below.
