Warwick Schools Foundation supports local children to train like the pros at England Futsal Lions camp

Over the Easter break, pupils from the local area took part in England Futsal's first-ever Kids National Teams Camp at King’s High School – as we proudly offered up to 60 fully-funded places to pupils in the CV34 postcode.
The first-of-its-kind camp, which took place from 14-17 April, was ran by England Futsal Lions and supported by Nike and the Foundation. It was open to boys and girls from ages 4-14, regardless of prior futsal experience, and provided them with the chance to access elite coaching in a fun and engaging environment. The sessions focussed on developing real skills such as technical training, teamwork activities, and game-based learning to boost confidence and enjoyment.
68 different children across the four days took part (45-55 per day), with a mixture of boys and girls and aged all the way from six to 14. The children truly had the VIP experience, just like the pros - with every child receiving a free Nike training kit, video analysis, interviews, and access to exclusive team rooms.
Partnering with England Futsal and Nike, we were proud to support local children from our local community to access the camp with up to 60 fully-funded places. With the sessions otherwise costing £50-a-day, our aim was to give young people - who may not ordinarily be able to do so – the chance to get the ‘full three lions experience’.
The camp was a huge success; it was an empowering, confidence-building experience that made the children feel like part of something bigger, and we are immensely proud to have enabled their experience.
After the success of the first camp, we are delighted that England Futsal will return to King's High this May half-term, on 27th - 29th May!
