Foundation Mini Bus Drivers

We are seeking to appoint mini bus drivers to support our school bus service. Drivers will be responsible for safely transporting approximately 150 students to and from school each day. This role requires excellent driving skills, punctuality, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers.

The role of a mini bus driver is to

  • adhere to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times
  • ensure the safety and security of all passengers during transit
  • conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs
  • maintain a clean and orderly vehicle
  • follow all traffic laws and school bus policies
  • communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
  • assist students with boarding and exiting the bus as needed
  • handle emergencies and unexpected situations calmly and efficiently.

 The successful candidates will

  • hold a valid driving licence with a clean driving record
  • be familiar with the local area 
  • be patient and have a friendly demeanour when interacting with students
  • have the ability to assist students with boarding and exiting the bus as required
  • understand the role in the context of safeguarding children and young people.

This is a permanent position working 20 hours per week, based at the main site of The Kingsley School, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. The salary for this role is £10,124 per annum prorata. The position is for 20 hours per week, working for 35.4 weeks of the year from Monday to Friday. The hours are 6.45am to 8.45am and from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.
