Kick 25 Building confidence one length at a time

Local school children complete their 25-metre swimming certificate

The week before the recent half-term break, Warwick Schools Foundation welcomed Year 6 pupils from local CV34 schools Westgate Primary School, Newburgh Primary School, Coten End Primary School and All Saints' CofE Primary School to our annual KICK 25 swimming recovery programme.

Now in its 9th year, KICK 25 is designed to support children who would benefit from some additional time in the pool, helping them work towards swimming 25 metres while also developing confidence in the water, improving fitness, and discovering a lifelong love of swimming.

Over the course of five mornings, 48 children took part in swimming lessons, and we are thrilled to share that 21 children successfully achieved their 25 metres by the end of the week!

The progress made throughout the programme was fantastic to see. Whether it was swimming further than ever before, growing in confidence, or simply feeling more comfortable in the pool, every child left with a real sense of achievement and positive progress to celebrate.

A huge well done to all the children who took part, and thank you to the schools for supporting this valuable initiative. We are incredibly proud that KICK 25 has now been helping local children build confidence in the water for nearly a decade, and we look forward to welcoming more young swimmers in the years ahead!
