Mark Lloyd

Mark first picked up a pair of drumsticks at the age of eleven, beginning Drum Kit lessons at his former primary school. Since then his musical career has spanned orchestral percussion, jazz, musical theatre, and rock and roll, providing a wealth of varied and rewarding performance experiences.
Career highlights include a live broadcast on BBC Radio 3 with the youth orchestra he attended, performing in seventy-four pantomimes alongside the legendary Christopher Biggins, and playing Bohemian Rhapsody to a packed audience at the Royal Albert Hall.
Although for Mark, the triangle remains one of the most deceptively challenging percussion instruments, nothing quite compares to the thrill of unleashing the full power of a tam-tam. Mark is delighted to be bringing his experience, enthusiasm, and passion for percussion to this exciting new summer course and looks forward to inspiring the next generation of young percussionists.
