Pupils from local schools are supported to achieve their swimming goals
Our Kick 25 initiative, which has been running for eight years, supports selected Year 6 children from local CV34 schools to achieve their 25-metre swimming certificate.
The latest installment of the programme, which ran before the May 2025 half-term holidays, was a huge success. Our amazing swim instructors worked with 40 children from four local CV34 primary schools -All Saints CofE Junior School, Westgate Primary School, Newburgh Primary School, and Coten End Primary School.
Following the five day programme, 15 of the children achieved their 25-metres goal, which is fantastic.
Congratulations goes to all of the swimmers - every single child made an improvement, underpinned by the overall water confidence that Kick 25 helps to instill.
Following the latest sessions, Matthew Watson, Head Teacher Westgate Primary School said:
“Kick 25 is a wonderful scheme. Thank you to the WSF staff who run this for us. The children loved every minute of it and were extremely proud of themselves."
Positive testimonials such as these make us immensely proud of the ongoing initiative, and we look forward to working with local schools once again next year!
