Teaching Assistant 1 to 1 - Warwick Junior School

Warwick Junior School is seeking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant from January 2026 or earlier if possible.

The primary duties of the 1:1 Teaching Assistant are to provide dedicated support for a pupil with SEND, helping them access learning, feel safe and supported, and participate in school life. The role involves working under the guidance of the class teachers and SENDCo to implement strategies that meet the pupil’s individual needs.

The post will be attractive to someone who has previous experience of working with pupils with specific needs on a 1:1 basis in a school setting. This is a great opportunity for a suitably qualified individual, as the school seeks to
deliver on our vision of being the most inspiring, rounded, and caring boys’ school in the UK.

The role includes responsibility for supporting a pupil in lessons throughout the school day. An ability to deliver individual intervention sessions (and a willingness  to undertake training as necessary) would be beneficial, as would experience of working with an EHC plan, and the target setting and review process.

The post holder will report directly to SENDCo.

Salary : The salary for this role is Point 19 which is equivalent to 25,956 full time, and actual salary is 20,695 pro rated.

This role is term, time only, plus INSET days and for 37 hours a week. Hours of work will be 8am 4pm Monday to Friday.
